Role Overview

As the Community Manager, you will be responsible for building and fostering a positive and inclusive online community on You will serve as the main point of contact for our members, ensuring their needs are met, facilitating meaningful interactions, and driving user engagement. This role requires a strong communicator with a passion for community building, a keen understanding of social networks, and a commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion in the tech industry.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Community Engagement
    1. Proactively engage with members on the platform, responding to their inquiries, comments, and feedback in a timely and helpful manner.
    2. Foster a supportive and inclusive environment, promoting positive interactions and discouraging any harmful or inappropriate behavior.
    3. Monitor discussions and content to ensure compliance with community guidelines and policies.
  2. Content Curation and Creation 
    1. Curate and create relevant and compelling content to drive engagement and maintain the community’s interest.
    2. Collaborate with the marketing and content teams to plan and execute community-related campaigns and initiatives.
  3. Events and Activities
    1. Organize and facilitate virtual events, webinars, and Q&A sessions to provide value and foster connections among community members.
    2. Manage event logistics, promotion, and follow-up to ensure successful outcomes.
  4. User Support
    1. Provide user support and troubleshoot issues raised by community members, escalating technical problems to the appropriate teams.
    2. Work closely with the customer support team to address user concerns effectively.
  5. User Feedback and Insights
    1. Gather feedback and insights from community members, tracking user sentiments and identifying areas for improvement.
    2. Share user insights with relevant internal teams to inform product enhancements and feature development.
  6. Community Growth
    1. Develop strategies to increase community membership, engagement, and retention.
    2. Collaborate with marketing and outreach teams to attract new users to the platform.
  7. Community Guidelines and Policies
    1. Establish and communicate clear community guidelines and policies to ensure a safe and respectful online environment.
    2. Enforce guidelines as needed, taking appropriate action against violators while providing guidance for improvement.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Social Sciences, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (3+ years) in community management, social media management, or a similar role, preferably within the tech industry or community-focused organizations.
  •  Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and connect with a diverse audience.
  • Familiarity with social networks, community platforms, and user engagement strategies.
  • Empathetic and customer-focused approach to handling user inquiries and concerns.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for diversity, inclusion, and representation in the technology sector.
