We are seeking a creative and driven Social Media Manager to join our team and effectively manage our social media presence and engagement strategies.

 Role Overview:As the Social Media Manager at Afros In Tech, you will be responsible for developing and implementing social media strategies that enhance brand visibility, engage our community, and promote meaningful interactions. You will play a crucial role in curating compelling content, building our online community, and managing our social media channels. This position requires a deep understanding of various social media platforms, excellent communication skills, and a passion for promoting diversity and inclusion within the tech industry. Key Responsibilities:

1. Social Media Strategy:

– Develop and execute social media strategies that align with our platform’s mission, values, and objectives.

– Plan and implement campaigns to promote events, initiatives, and community engagement.

 

2. Content Creation and Curation:

– Create high-quality, engaging, and shareable content for various social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and others.

– Curate user-generated content that reflects our community’s diversity and achievements.

 

3. Community Engagement:

– Interact with our community members on social media channels, responding to comments, inquiries, and feedback in a timely and respectful manner.

– Foster a positive and inclusive online community through authentic and empathetic engagement.

 

4. Social Media Analytics:

– Monitor and analyze social media performance using analytics tools.

– Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide reports on social media metrics to inform strategies.

 

5. Brand Awareness and Growth:

– Increase brand visibility and awareness by developing and executing social media campaigns.

– Identify and implement strategies to grow our social media following and reach.

 

6. Collaboration and Partnerships:

 Qualifications and Experience
